Visits with congressional offices are one of the most important parts of the National Policy Seminar each year, and even more important than ever in the current environment. With the ability to interact with policymakers in person significantly curtailed because of the pandemic, virtual “Hill” visits are critical for sharing about the importance of CTE. Legislators are more likely to support positions that their constituents feel strongly about, which is why it is important for constituents to engage with their legislators any way they can whether via web platforms, phone, email, text, etc.
The resources below will help you through each step of the process of scheduling visits, coordinating with others from your state in preparation, conducting the visit and then following-up to continue to build relationships with your Members of Congress.
